Hey Guys,

It’s been a while since I have had an opportunity to say hello and I thought I would drop you a brief note to let you know what’s happening. It’s been going on four months since I gave up the program and many of you have asked, do you miss it? Absolutely! Particularly when events as crazy as this recent thing with Virgin Air with the people trapped on the airplane and the conflicting stories and the nonsense of the crew being out of time, they couldn’t even taxi the airplane over to a jet way. Talk about government bureaucracy.

In any event, things are going well. My health has improved considerably along with the shedding of a few pounds for which I am grateful. We are not as far along in our new enterprise as I would like to be, dealing with contractors, builders, etc. but sooner or later hopefully, we will get the job done. I miss hearing from you guys and I certainly miss talking to you on the air. So many of you have been kind enough to continue to drop me emails. Unhappily, it’s just impossible, given the volume, to individually answer you. I hope you will understand. Your emails are welcome and each and every one of them is read by me personally.

We are toying with idea of doing something on the Internet. I know, its easy for you technically connected people. Trust me on this one, it is not for me. I am talking with folks who are far more knowledgeable then I on how to get this done, what’s involved, what are the costs and frankly, how can some of those costs be recuperated. In any event, that’s at least several months away but it is a very distinct possibility. It may not be three hours a night; we will probably start out with a more modest offering. Needless to say, I miss you guys. That you can take to the bank. I can’t say that I miss being obliged to be in my studio every evening from 7-10. There are some advantages in being able to take late flights or having an early or late supper but on balance, it was an appropriate decision at the time and I have no regrets in that regard.

Many of you have asked about a cruise and we may very well put together some kind of cruise to the Caribbean or Alaska next year. It will be at least that far off. I will mention in passing that Susan and I are giving some serious consideration to a cruise down the Nile in Egypt in middle to late October or early November. It’s something I have always wanted to do. See the Pyramids, Sphinx, and Cairo museum, etc. It looks like it could be a lot of fun and there is also a possibility of connecting that cruise with a six day cruise from Casablanca, Istanbul, Athens, Israel, etc. If we go we will make the information available to you if you would like to join us on a social basis. Not for everybody but I definitely want to see the Pyramids and whatever before I leave this mortal coil. In any case, nothing solid yet but if you are interested drop me an email and I will get back to you personally on that one.

I truly enjoy hearing from you guys and I will do my best to keep you up to speed.
